Visit the Danforth Art Museum for their once-monthly, drop-in art discussion. September's event focuses on artists and the environment.

In recent years, wildfires ignite across the globe, ocean levels rise, and entire ecosystems collapse. Reflecting on these ecological perils, many contemporary artists have become climate activists. They use their work as a platform to raise awareness and imagine a more sustainable future. Their art can compel us to act.

We will look at two works by artists in the Danforth Annual Juried Exhibition: The Landfill Goats by Bridie Wolejko and Tethered Sympathy by Rebecca McGee Tuck. These artworks will inspire participants to create a poster encouraging people to take action about a climate challenge.

Drop into Art happens the second Sunday of every month, except July and August. All sessions are held from 1 – 4 p.m. Admission is always free. Registration is not required — just drop in!
