Get outside and enjoy biking and walking in the natural world. The Southern New England Trunkline trail runs from Franklin all the way to the Douglas State forest. Park in the parking area on Grove Street and spend some time relaxing in nature. You can also get more involved with this wonderful local resource by joining the Franklin Bellingham Rail Trail Committee. The Franklin & Bellingham Rail Trail Committee (FBRTC) is a volunteer advocacy group dedicated to the development, maintenance, and financial support of the Southern New England Trunkline Trail as a multi-use, universally accessible recreational path. Meetings are generall on the second Tuesday of the month, but you can find updates on meetings and events on their Facebook page. Their website is available here.
