Did you know that September 22nd through the 30th is Climate Preparedness Week? In connection with September being National Preparedness Month, Communities Responding to Extreme Weather (CREW) has been hosting annual Climate Preparedness Weeks since 2018 to raise awareness of extreme weather threats and to help communities prepare for responses. Join them virtually on September 24th at noon for their webinar "Caring for Earth & Community: Take Action! (with Cate Mingoya-LaFortune of Groundwork USA)", where they will be discussing different kinds of extreme weather threats and help individuals and communities lay out a roadmap to help calm climate anxiety, boost climate preparedness, and move the needle towards environmental justice.
